Our Sponsors

Driven to Care is proud to be supported by generous sponsors who share our commitment to automotive education.

1

The Footprints Foundation

The Footprints Foundation was established in 2008 by John and Lisa Weinberger following the sale of a rare vintage car. Since its inception, proceeds from other car sales in their collection have contributed to the Driven to Care program, ensuring John's automotive passion continues to support students pursuing their dreams.

2

Rahal Family

From the 1950s to the present day, three generations of Rahals have been involved in motorsports. Starting with Mike Rahal, who passed his love for racing onto his son Bobby, who then continued to pass the family passion of racing on to his son, Graham. Career highlights include Bobby Rahal, a three-time IndyCar Champion as a driver who also won the Indianapolis 500 twice, first as a team owner in 2004 and again in 2020. Today Graham races in the IndyCar Series. The Rahal Family sponsors the Driven to Care Rahal Family Motorsports Technician Scholarship.

3

Bill and Tiffany Hayes

Bill & Tiffany enjoy the world of cars, everything from rusty ones in the field to exotic ones on the showroom floor. Bill was a certified public accountant who, at the age of 3, was able to identify different car brands, which developed into a complete passion for cars. Tiffany enjoys attending car events with her husband. Together, they support the next generation of automotive professionals.

4

Janet Guthrie

Janet Guthrie is a true pioneer in motorsports whose courage and determination shattered long-standing barriers for women in racing. Janet was an aerospace engineer and pilot before ever sitting in a race car. She made her mark in history in 1977 as the first woman to qualify and compete in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Daytona 500 - defining moments that helped open the door for future generations of women in the sport. Guthrie began her racing career with the Sports Car Club of America and went on to compete at the highest levels of IndyCar and NASCAR, earning respect for her skill, resilience, and trailblazing spirit. Her legacy is preserved in the International Motorsports Hall of Fame and the Smithsonian Institution, and her example continues to inspire students pursuing careers in automotive and motorsports fields.

In Memoriam Awards

We've established awards to honor fellow car enthusiasts who have passed away, leaving a lasting legacy that has had a significant impact on the automotive industry. These memorial scholarships ensure that their passion for automobiles continues to inspire the next generation.

Dale Schneider

Dale was a master technician at Continental Autosports for over 43 years. He was creative and always willing to help, and never turned down a job or task. He would figure out a way to make it work.

Tom Caulfield

He had a lifelong passion for Ferraris, from the engineering to maintaining and reviving the cars himself. Automobiles were more than just ownership; they were about being a steward of the Ferrari cars.

Cristiano Bimbi

Cristiano was an avid automobile and motorcycle enthusiast, and he loved every minute spent riding a variety of motorcycles. "What's one more bike?" Cristiano owned an insurance agency and went above and beyond for all his automotive clients.

Mark Narvaez

Mark was very passionate about cars from a young age, influenced by his grandpa Cowger's career in the automotive industry. His dream was to become a car designer for a major automobile manufacturer. Mark belonged to car clubs in Dallas and Austin and had many friends who worked together on modifying their sports cars.

Raj Moonesinghe

From his modified Subaru WRX to his track-ready M3, Raj loved cars that were built to be driven. He took his dad to every F1 race, and such was his passion for beautiful cars and supporting young people, he helped an 18-year-old friend start a car detailing business that is now a thriving company.

David Lapotin

David was an engineer who also loved working on cars. As a teenager in the 70s, he drag raced Volkswagens. It morphed into a love affair with Porsches. He eventually bought a 1963 Oslo Blue Porsche. David was a very active Driven to Care mentor to local students in Texas.
